We are an AI research and technology company building new types of foundational AI architectures for the most important and demanding AI workloads.
Today’s models are remarkably capable, but they remain bounded architectures designed for massive, centralised deployments, chat windows and low-token interactions. Long-running agents, large document set intelligence, models that need to adapt. These emerging needs require a fundamentally different approach - not engineering "hacks".
Our research starts from a different premise.
A different architecture
Our work draws on artificial intelligence, computational cognitive science and decades of research into how biological systems learn over time.
The goal is not simply a faster model. It is a different foundation for AI systems that need to operate continuously, privately and under real-world constraints.
We are pretraining novel and hybrid architectures, researching durable and evolving memory, and building the tools needed to specify, train, evaluate and deploy them.

i14 emerged from research at the University of Melbourne. Our team combines decades of deep expertise in AI architecture, computational cognitive science and building production technology companies.
